Meet the team Alicia Jacob, Account Executive

Alicia Jacob (Liss to us and her friends!) has been with us on an internship and blew us away with her skills and intuition for PR, so when the time came for her to level up, we weren’t going to let her go to anyone else!

We’d love it if you got to know her like we do:

What's your proudest PR moment?

I think one of my favourite recent moments would be working with our client Vida Healthcare on a piece about myth busting misinformation about dementia and challenging the misconceptions. The mailer initially didn't pick up as quickly as we had hoped but after a lot of proactive pitching and newsjacking, we secured five pieces of national coverage which was then quickly picked up by 50 regional papers across the UK!

Not only was this a great opportunity for brand awareness, it was also rewarding to feel like we were educating the general public on spotting the first symptoms of dementia and supporting those who may have had a recent diagnosis or know someone who is living with dementia.

What would be your dream brand to work with?

Anyone that knows me (or follows me on Instagram) is probably aware that I spend most of my weekends at some sort of event or on a dance floor somewhere around the country. Whether I’m in the office or on my way somewhere I’ll always be listening to music! I’ve spent a lot of my annual leave at festivals this year and would love to work with festivals like Dimensions, where you can be dancing on a beach in Croatia listening to some of the best DJs or at Gottwood with its enchanting and intimate woodland setting. These festivals aren't just events - they're experiences that connect people from all over the world. The atmosphere, energy and love at these places are unparalleled.

What do you think the future of PR looks like?

Since I started my career at Lucky North, a lot more people are communicating over email rather than speaking on the phone. I think the future of PR will be very digital. Social media has become an essential part of many PR campaigns, and this is very likely to continue in the future. As social media platforms continue to evolve, we need to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments on socials. That's why you can now find Lucky North on Instagram and Tiktok, as well as traditional professional networks like Linkedin!

What's the most insane thing you've ever had to do for work?

I can’t say I was ever expecting to complete a woodland assault course and attempt to build a fire in the pouring rain within my first few months of working at Lucky North…however, the agency away day was certainly a team bonding experience!

What's your favourite thing about your job?

The people! When I was researching different career options during uni, the social and

creative aspects of a career in PR really drew me in. We work with such a variety of people, from our amazing team, lovely clients and the huge range of journalists and media contacts. I have really enjoyed coming into the office and learning from such a motivating and talented team. It’s also great to have the option to work from home too.

What's your favourite word or emoji?

It’s got to be 🪩!
